 Our Featured Guests

1. Deanne LaRue and 2. Trish Allen share their paths to the Bahá’í Faith Community, a worldwide faith community founded by the prophet Bahá’u’lláh (1817-1892). The Bahá’ís believe in the oneness of all religions, human rights, and encouraging Self-knowledge to grow the individual eternal soul in wisdom and love. Deanne and Trish talk about their interaction in the world as Bahá’ís.

About our Guest:  Deanne LaRue founded the Meridian Health Foundation, dedicated to developing sustainable programs for children and youth using education, the delivery of supportive health services, and the arts. Collaborative organizations have included the United Nations Environment Programme, United Nations Department of Public Information, Full-Circle Learning, The Baum Foundation, TUNZA North America, and the City of San Francisco. Meridian’s current goals focus on developing neighborhood community programs for youth and junior youth in California, as well as other work associated with the Baha’i Faith. Current work focuses on developing neighborhood community programs for junior youth in California as well as other work associated with the Bahá’i Faith.

About our Guest: Trish Allen is an active member of the Bahá’í community in Santa Rosa. She serves on the Local Spiritual Assembly of Santa Rosa, and support ongoing weekly devotions in our Cluster along with hosting their activities in her home. She has animated a Junior Youth Spiritual Empowerment Program at Monte Vista the past 8 years with a team of other Bahais living in the area. She is a survivor of the October fires in 2017 and in the past two years has been blessed with two beautiful and healthy grandchildren.

3. Kerry Fugett talks how she came to join Daily Acts to direct their Leadership Institute for Just and Resilient Communities and the Climate campaign programs. She announces a fun and educational benefit concert on Sunday, September 8, 2019 to benefit Daily Acts.

About our Guest: Kerry Fugett  works at Daily Acts, where she manages the Leadership Institute for Just and Resilient Communities and the Climate campaign programs. She is a graduate from UC San Diego with a BS in Physiology and Neuroscience. She spent time as a field biologist researching the impacts of development on wildlife in Equatorial Guinea and Ecuador. she served as Executive Director of Sonoma County Conservation Action, an environmental policy and advocacy organization AND IS passionate about empowering and connecting leaders to build the tools and practices needed to co-create a healthy, just and resilient communities and people.
