1. Jackee Stang , Vice-President of Programming, High Times Media
1. Jackee Stang from her vantage point at High Times Media as Vice-President of Programming discusses how cannabis is accepted in California and the nation, now that it has been made legal to regulate both as medicine and as products made available to anyone over the age of 21. High Times Media produced the Cannabis Cup in Santa Rosa this past weekend, which was only the second event in the nation to be licensed to sell cannabis products to anyone over the age of 21. After four decades of the magazine’s frontline reporting during the Drug War, women will now be at the table through the launch by Jackee Stang of the High Times Women’s Council within the company and the publication of is first edition of the Women of Weed Magazine in September.
About our Guest: Jackee Stang serves as the VP of Programming at High Times Media, leading the charge on the mainstreaming of Cannabis content with a particular focus on New Media and Female driven content. Jackee hails from New England and Texas, where she spent most of her formative years, and where cannabis was stigmatized but omnipresent. In Houston she built a successful career in non-profit grant writing and event planning – raising millions of dollars, and putting to work thousands in underserved communities in east Texas. Jackee has worked as an award-winning producer for Bulletproof Nutrition and most recently launched the High Times Women’s Council – the first ever female focused think-tank within High Times, aimed at identifying, celebrating and elevating authentically female driven growth within the space. Jackee also hosts the High Times Green Room podcast, a long-form interview audio project designed to tell insider stories about cannabis culture – the stories most people never get to hear – until now.
